Give me appIebees over Applebees any day

I'm sorry to see that @AppIebees got shut down after my blog. Not that you're going to convince the handful of people who decided I was evil incarnate because I wrote that blog.
brendlewhat -- hey guys, @bissell @brandtheft thanks for FINALLY going to bat for the defenseless major corporations. you guys are heroes!!
ABigBagOfKeys -- this fucking loser @bissell started a website because he got so angry about someone making a fake applebees account
leyawn -- lmao sum dude @bissell literaly spent his free time + money to defend a corporation from a twitter parody. a fucken capitalist white knight.
gregariousgecko -- @bissell @foolish_fucker @ABigBagOfKeys And now they're being removed from twitter so nobody can share it. Bang up job there Sparky.
Maybe Applebees found out about the account because of my blog. More likely because of the conversaiton that happened online that made me find out about the account, but, let's say I grabbed Erik^EW's scruffy beard and shoved his face into the parody account. The risk of parody is being caught.
Whoever figured out the L for i substituion trick was clever and they did a great job of mimicking the page. Maybe it could have flown under the radar longer and gotten more than 800 followers (to @Applebees 11,000 followers). They weren't really hurting anyone, but it was inevitable that once Applebees found them, they'd get shut down.
Part of what I like about Brand Identity Theft is that it's kind of dangerous -- not bullets and bombs dangerous, more like picking up a stranger in a bar dangerous. Exciting, naughty and temporary.
I want to caputre this stuff before it's gone. If that's like taking pictures of your one-night-stand in a hotel room, so be it.
